ChampProof Privacy Policy

Depending on how you use the Service, we may process the following categories of information:

• Account information (such as your name) and email address.
• Uploaded receipts, product information, and serial/model numbers.
• Purchase information and warranty information you enter or that is extracted from your uploads.
• Uploaded documents and photos.
• Claim information you create within the Service.
• Subscription and billing status (your plan and status; we do not store full payment-card numbers).
• Technical and security information, such as basic log and session data used to operate and secure the Service.

We use the information above to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its features.
• Organize your warranty-related information and generate reminders and claim packages.
• Process subscriptions and manage your plan and account.
• Communicate with you about your account, security, and service-related matters.
• Protect the Service and our users, and comply with legal obligations.

We share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting and storage providers and our email delivery provider. These providers process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it.

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, your payment-card details are collected and handled by Stripe under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. ChampProof does not store full payment-card numbers. We retain limited billing status information (such as your plan, subscription status, and identifiers needed to reconcile your subscription).

Your documents and receipts are stored using cloud storage, and access to stored files is provided through time-limited, access-controlled links. We use industry-standard measures and access controls designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. When you delete your account, we remove your associated data as described below, subject to any limited retention required by law.

You can delete your account from the Settings page. Deleting your account permanently removes your associated assets, documents, claims, and reminders from the Service, and removes your uploaded files from storage. Where an active paid subscription exists, deleting your account also cancels that subscription so it does not continue to renew. Account deletion cannot be undone.

You can export your data from the Settings page. The export provides your account details, assets, documents list, claims, and reminders in a portable JSON file.

We use cookies and similar session technologies that are necessary to operate the Service — primarily to keep you signed in and to maintain your session and security. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
